Mitooma Justice Centres Handed Over

Mitooma Justice Centres in the heart of Mitooma District is complete and ready for occupation. 

Dolphin Engineering and Consultants Ltd handed over Mitooma Justice Centres, a complex which will house the Office of Directorate of Public Prosecutions, Police and the Chief Magistrates Court.

The centre billed at Shs1.4bn was funded by the Justice, Law and Order Sector. 

The purpose of the three-in-one complex is in line with the JLOS Mission of improving access to justice by having frontline JLOS institutions located in close proximity.

Bushenyi Chief Magistrate, HW Moses Anguanlia, represented Judiciary.

The Office of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions was represented by the Mitooma State Attorney and the Police by the District Police Commander.

Also at the handover were Judiciary's Principal Internal Auditor, Ms Louise Nagirinya, as well as engineers from the Judiciary Engineering and Technical Services. 

The function was witnessed by the Mitooma LCV, the District Chief Administrative Officer and Resident District Commissioner. 

Last year, the Chief Justice presided over the ground-breaking ceremony for the Mitooma Justice Centres.
